Description

Two silks and a thread of emerald lurex, set with tiny 1mm sequins that catch the light.

2.7 metres long. 38 cm wide.

Black silk velvet ribbon, black schappe silk, and shimmering emerald lurex worked together on the needles. The sequins are spun into the lurex itself, so the light plays through the whole fabric rather than sitting on top of it.

The fabric is soft and fluid — it slips through the hands the way only silk does.

In quiet light the scarf reads as black. But when it moves, in candlelight, or under the winter sun, deep emerald shades rise to the surface.

Long enough to wrap twice around your neck, wear over a coat, or style as an elegant shawl.

Handknitted in the Netherlands. One of a kind. Never to be repeated.

Care:
Hand wash in cold water with a gentle silk detergent. Do not wring. Press gently in a towel to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry. Do not steam.
